제목 Multiple transition pathway of Block Copolymer in Melt and Film Geometry
초록 Morphological transitions of Block copolymer (BCP) such as the order-to-order transition (OOT) and the order-to-disorder transition (ODT) for an asymmetric polystyrene-block-polyisoprene (PS-b-PI) were investigated in bulk and film by SAXS & GISAXS. In case of BCP melt, it shows the OOT from a lamella phase (LAM) to the gyroid phase (GYR) with increasing temperature. Between the LAM and GYR, poorly ordered Fddd structure is also found in a narrow temperature range followed by the perforated layered structure (PL). On the other hand, the BCP film coated on a PS grafted substrate shows phase transition from random LAM to epitaxially oriented hexagonally modulated layer structure (HML). The HML transforms to the GYR without the Fddd morphology in between. The film shows not only different OOT pathway but also higher OOT and ODT. These results may be correlated dominantly to the interfacial energy between PS block of BCP and PS brushes on a substrate.
