제목 Preparation of Tryptophan-terminated Double-hydrophilic Block-copolymer as a Preorganized Nanoscale Template for Functional Metal-Chelated Nanostructures
초록 We present the preparation of tryptophan-terminated double-hydrophilic block-copolymer as a polymeric template for self-assembled nanostructures by a functional metal chelation.  To compensate for the weak cohesive force of specific transition metal ions, the end group of the block-copolymer was modified with tryptophan, an amino acid containing a hydrophobic indole group, which also exhibits a characteristic fluorescence property.  The resulting self-assembled polymeric nanostructure can then be used as a chelating template of the paramagnetic metal cations for the enhanced magnetic resonance contrasting effect in aqueous solution.
