Influence of Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes on Physicochemical Properties of Carbon Fiber Fabric-reinforced Epoxy Composites |

In this work, the effect of acidically treated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) was investigated in physicochemical properties of carbon fiber fabric-reinforced composites. The composites were fabricated containing MWCNT at 1 wt.% to investigate the effect of the surface treated MWCNT on mechanical and thermal properties of the composites. The epoxy resin with different contents of 0~2 wt.% was also used. The surface properties of the MWCNT were determined by FT-IR analyses. The thermal stability of the composites was investigated by TGA. Also, the mechanical properties of the composites were studied in ILSS and KIC. |
