In this work, carbon fibers-reinforced composites were investigated in mechanical interfacial properties. The surface properties were determined by acid/base values, XPS, and FT-IR measurements. Also, the mechanical interfacial properties of the composites were studied in ILSS and KIc. As results, the ILSS and KIc, had been improved after oxyfluorination due to the increase of surface free energy of carbon fibers. These results were explained that surface dynamics of carbon fibers played an important role in improving the degree of adhesion at epoxy resin matrix. |
