제목 Conductivity Enhancement of PEDOT:PSS Composites by Using Additives Containing Ether Linkages and Hydroxyl Groups
초록 Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) is considered to be promising candidates for transparent and flexible electrodes because of their processability and eco-friendliness. However, the electrical conductivity of PEDOT:PSS is still below the industrial expectation as an electrode. Although various processing additives, such as ethylene glycol (EG), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), and so on, have been used as the conductivity enhancing agents, systematic studies on how the structural factors influence the conductivity enhancement have not been performed. Herein, we investigated how the structures and the physical properties of additives affect the conductivity of PEDOT:PSS through the cases of EG and 2-methoxyethanol (2ME). We found that EG is powerful in the conductivity enhancement, whereas 2ME is not effective despite the structural similarity. We also studied a method of applying 2ME to PEDOT:PSS in order to increase the conductivity.
