제목 The effect of Al addition to prevent Ni sintering in steam reforming of bio-ethanol
초록 The most well-known active metal for ethanol steam reforming is Ni. Unfortunately, Ni sintering, however, cannot be avoided at high temperature and high water content even when MgO-supported Ni catalyst is used. The research was performed for the activity of modified reforming catalyst prepared by solid-gas-solid reaction to form Ni-Al solid solution at low temperature below fusion points of Ni and Al, thus providing a simple process for the formation of Ni-Al solid solution that gives low cost. It seemed that Al addition successfully prevented Ni sintering without affecting the activity of the catalyst to reform the ethanol.
