제목 Three-Dimensional Growth of Pentacene Thin Films on Low Surface Energy Polyimide Gate Dielectrics
초록 Pentacene is one of the most actively studied organic semiconductors having the highest mobility in organic field effect transistors (OFETs). In order to realize high performances OFETs, it is essential to understand the growth mechanism of pentacene thin film and its molecular ordering within organic crystals, which can influence the charge transport in pentacene thin films. However, few studies have been carried out on the structure of 3-D grown pentacene crystals and the device performances of 3-D grown pentacene FETs. In this paper, we report the detailed study on the structure and arrangement of pentacene molecules in 3-D islands. The correlation between the thickness dependence of carrier mobility and the evolution in morphology of pentacene film with its thickness has been also investigated to reveal the feature leading good device performances in 3-D grown pentacene films.
