In this work, clay/PMMA/epoxy nanocomposites were investigated in thermal properties. The state of clay particle dispersion was investigated by small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Thermal properties of the nanocomposites were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The thermal stability of the nanocomposites was significantly higher than that of the neat epoxy resins, due to the existence of the miscible PMMA with clays. |
