제목 Development and Filtration Performance Evaluation of Depth Filter Media Cartridge for Gas Turbine Intake Air Filtration
초록 Gradient multiple layer depth filter media consist of an upstream layer of highly porous structure which allows particles to pass through and to follow by one or more downstream layers to hold the particles inside the media. The aim of this work was to develop and then evaluate the filtration performance of the depth filter media cartridges made of depth filter media. The first two test cartridges made of depth filter media TFM2 and TFM3 were prepared and tests were conducted. The test with cartridge TFM2 and TFM3 have indicated that there are modifications needed to achieve an efficient depth loading filter media. After studying the test results, another filter media was developed and designed to combine the advantages of these two previous species and result in optimal depth filter media for gas turbine intake air filtration. The test cartridge with filter media TFM5 has shown satisfactory filtration performance. The new developed media exhibits a very high collection efficiency, low initial pressure drop and high dust holding capacity.
