Preparation and activity test of catalytic active filter for WGS reaction |

A filter which consists of Pt/ceria as a WGS catalyst and metal powder as the heat transfer media, was prepared to improve the release of reaction heat to the wall of reactor, for Pt/ceria for WGS reaction has the low thermal conductivity. The catalytic filters were characterized by video microscope system and SEM to observe the homogeneity of surface and thermal conductivity was measured by LFA447-Nanoflash. The heat control effect of catalytic active cermet was evaluated by WGS reaction in a wide temperature range (240 ℃ ~ 330 ℃). As expected, the thermal conductivity was improved by applying heat transfer media to Pt/ceria catalyst. In case of PCA cermet, a remarkable improvement of CO conversion via WGS reaction was observed compared with the result of WGS reaction on only Pt/ceria catalyst. |
