Solid state dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) employing polymer electrolyte have recently been attracted great scientific and technological interests. However, they suffer from low energy conversion efficiency, compared to those with common liquid electrolyte. Therefore there are several attempts to increase the efficiency. It has been known that the regeneration rate of oxidized dyes may strongly depend on the kind of electrolytes, consequently affecting the energy conversion efficiency significantly. Herein, effects of dyes on the energy conversion efficiency are investigated mostly in terms of the dye regeneration rate. |
