제목 Photosensitive Polyimide Dielectrics for High Aperture Ratio TFT-LCD
초록 The high aperture pixel design is the one of the key parameter for increasing the transmittance of TFT LCD panels. Therefore, numerous attempts have been made to improve the transmittance, but it was very difficult to increase the aperture ratio, which was due to high dielectric constant of inorganic passivation layer. Therefore, various efforts have been focused on the synthesis of colorless polymeric materials with low dielectric constant such as BCB or heat resistant acrylic oligomers. However, they had some problems such as inferior thermal stability, high residual stress, low degree of planarization as well as low adhesion strength toward various inorganic materials. In this study, we had prepared polyimides or polyimide oligomers based on alicyclic dianhydrides and aromatic diamines. Chemical structure and molecular weights of polyimides have been changed to obtain high degree of planarization as well as high adhesion strength over inorganic patterned substrate. And then, properties of resulting polyimides such as transparency, thermal stability, electrical properties as well as adhesion strength were investigated.
