제목 A Selective Separation of Yttrium, Europium and Cerium by Fatty Acid Extractants
초록 With the development of electronic industry and information technology industry, the demand of rare earth elements has been increased rapidly in many countries as well as Korea. Especially, the rare earth metals should be recycled from the electronic device waste for this reason in Korea without such rare earth metlas mine.
A study on the solvent extraction of the rare earth metals such as yttrium, europium and cerium has been investigated by using the eco-friendly extractnats such as fatty acids. The effects of the kinds of extractants and additives, the concentration of extractants and additives, the equilibrium pH(pHe), etc have been considered. In addition, in order to improve the separation efficiency of rare earth metals such as yttrium and europium, the additives such as crown ethers have been used in fatty acid systm.
