In this study, SrxCa1-xSe:Eu(II) phosphors were prepared by conventional solid state reaction at 950oC under H/N (5/95) reduction atmosphere. The starting materials were using SrCO3, CaCO3, Eu2O3, and SeO2. Theobtained SrSe:Eu(II) and CaSe:Eu(II) had a cubic structure, and lattice parameter became smaller when largeproportion ofCa ionswere substitutedfor Sr ion site. SrSe:Eu(II) and CaSe:Eu(II) showed high excitation level range from 380nm (near UV)to 450nm (blue), andlocated emission peak at 563nm and 594nm, respectively. The emission peak wasvariedwith different Sr:Ca ratio due to the crystal field effect. The detailed structural and optical properties were discussed andevaluatedthe applicationon white LED. |
