Block copolymers have been received a lot of attention due to their potential that can be self-assembled into the designed structures of spherical micelles, lamellas, vesicles, cylinders, and worm-like shapes by molecular weight, ratio of blocks, polydispersity of diblock copolymers, and solvent condition, etc. Recently, the researches for the control of morphological transitions of a preformed nanostructure of diblock copolymers in a specific condition to other structures have been reported gradually, for examples, micelles-to-vesicles, vesicle-to-warm-like-structure, micelles-to-intermicellar-chain and core-corona inversion of micelles by external stimuli such as dilution, shear, second addition of different solvent, pH, and temperature, etc. Herein, we will present the controlled morphological transitions of micelles-to-hollow spheres using coil-rod diblock copolymer by concentration-induced external stimuli. |
