Synthesis and properties of photoswitchable azobenzene polymer for Red-color updatable rewritable hologram. |
초록 |
Refractive index changing materials by photo-irradiation or electrical field were widely utilized to optical, electrical and biological applications. The cis-trans photoisomerization of azobenzene is well-defined and extensively applied process. Irradiation with light produces the cis isomer, which has a bent conformation and much larger dipole moment. As a result of photoisomerization of azobenezene, the polymer bearing azobenzene as a side-chain have refractive index change. In this study, we have investigated azobenzene containing photo-induced refractive index changing polymers. In order to isomerized under red-light irradiation, we designed and synthesized functional group azobenzene having strong acceptor and donor. Azobenzene side chain polymers were synthesized via radical polymerization of methacrylate monomers. The molecular structures and properties of polymers were characterized by NMR, UV-vis, DSC and GPC. |
