Synthesis and characterization of chiral squaraine dyes for optoelectronic applications |
초록 |
Squaraines are a class of promising zwitterionic donor-acceptor-donor dyes for applications in optical sensing and imaging. Some attractive features of these dyes include strong absorption and emission bands which are tunable from the visible to near-infrared regime via molecular design and supramolecular engineering. Recently, there has been a growing interest in applying squaraine dyes in long-wavelength organic photodetectors. Extending this concept to chiroptical sensing is highly attractive due to its technological importance. However, chiral squaraine dyes with absorption in the near-infrared regime are still rare. To bridge this gap, this work aims to develop chiral squaraine dyes from a dicyanovinyl-substituted squaraine core as an acceptor unit end-capped with benz[cd]indole donor units functionalized with chiralaliphatic chains. Aggregates of these dyes in THF/water solvent mixture and thin films showed the absorbance beyond 1000 nm. |
