제목 | 3-D Layered Structure of a Coordination Polymer with Flexible Side Chains |
초록 | The bent-shaped bipyridine ligand containing a dendritic aliphatic side chain was complexed with silver ion (Figure 1). The complexes were observed to self-assemble into supramolecular structures that differ significantly as a function of the dendrimer chain length and the counter-anion size in the solid state, as confirmed by X-ray diffraction experiments. In previous work, we reported that the secondary structure of a coordination polymer changes from a helical chain, via a dimeric cycle, to a zig-zag chain in the solid state, as the size of anion increases.1 In contrast to the cationic scaffolds based on small counter anions, the complexes based on the large counter-anions self-assemble into a layered structure. Recently, we found that the 3-D layered structure with spacings of 2-4nm is regularly formed as the volume of dendritic side chains increases (Figure 2). This is the first example of the 3-D layered structure in the coordination polymer with flexible side chains. Thus, the 3-D layered structure will be described in detail, and its origin will be discussed. Fig 1. Scheme for the Complexes Fig 2. The layered structure of complex 참고문헌 1. H.-J. Kim, W.-C.
