제목 | Performance of ozonation in advanced water treatment process |
초록 | The performance of ozonation in ozone-BAC advanced water treatment process was estimated through a pilot scale test. The pilot plant is built in "D" water treatment plant site of "B" city which uses Nakdong river as a source of water supply. The performance was evaluated by KMnO4 consumption, UV-254 absorption, and the variations of DOC and BDOC concentrations. In addition, based on the ozone concentration in the ozone contactor, the DOC removal efficiency and the variation of BDOC concentration were measured. Because the DOC removal by perfect oxidation is negligible, there was not the variation of KMnO4 consumption before and after ozonation. UV-254 absorption was decreased after ozonation because of the dissociation of some organic materials. Ozonation was an efficient process for the production of BDOC by the dissociation of DOC. BDOC concentration was continuously increased as the ozone input raised to 0.60 mg O3/L. The more ozone input led the reduction of DOC concentration. The ozone concentration required to give the maximum BDOC concentration can be suggested as the optimum ozone concentration in a contactor. |
