Self-Propelling Micro/Nano-Motors based on Polymeric Materials |
초록 |
A variety of nano/microscale motors hold great promise for diverse applications in the biomedical and environmental areas. Inspired by the natural systems and driven by the recent advances in the nanotechnology, considerable efforts are currently devoted to the design of efficient synthetic nano/microscale motors that convert various energies into autonomous motion. Particular attention has been given to catalytically propelled nanowires and microtube engines based on surface catalytic decomposition of a solution-borne fuel, usually hydrogen peroxide. Such chemically powered nanowires and microtube motors display high speed and power, along with precise motion. Here we present simplified fabrication protocol of polymeric microengines that have been synthesized by template membrane through electropolymerization and layer-by-layer technique. Also very challenging issue to utilize the self-assembling behavior of biocompatible peptides for microtublar engines is discussed in this work. |
