In this study, biodegradable poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) films were crosslinked by electron beam irradiation at various doses and their properties were characterized by using a crosslinking degree measurement, a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), a universal testing machine (UTM), a dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA), and a thermal mechanical analyzer (TMA). The PBAT was successfully crosslinked and its crosslinking degree was dependant on the absorbed dose. The results of the UTM, DMA, TMA, and TGA analyses revealed that the thermal and mechanical properties of the crosslinked PBAT films were much improved in comparison to those of the control PBAT. |
