Preparation and characterization of mucoadhesive hydrogel patches based on poly(acrylic acid) cross-linked by electron beam irradiation |
| 초록 |
Mucoadhesive hydrogels containing antibiotics, triamcinolone acetonide (TAAN) were prepared by a radiation process. Poly(acrylic acid) (PAAc) as a hygrogel patch was cross-linked by using an electrobeam (EB) irradiation and the hydrogel patches were characterized by gel content, swelling property, peel force and drug release behaviors. These hydrogel patches showed excellent mucoadhesion property and swelling properties without erosion. The PAAc hydrogels have a good mechanical property at low EB radiation dose. The TAAN release behaviors were investigated in PBS solution at 37oC. These PAAc hydrogel could be used for application as mucoadhesive drug carriers. |
