A simple strategy for the fabrication of ultra-thin CNF-metal oxide hybrid nanofibers were represented by four component (PAN/PVP/Zn(Ac)2/SnCl45H2O) electrospinning and carbonization. This hybrid CNFs are characterized by SEM, TEM, HRTEM, and XRD. The hybrid CNFs have metal oxide nodules which have excellent performance in sensor response to Sarin nerve agent gas, dimethyl phosphonate(DMMP). Hybrid CNFs were applied as a transducer for gas detection in the range of 0.1100 parts per million (ppm) of DMMP gas at room tamparature. |
