Preparation of Nafion/sulfonated poly(phenylsilsesquioxane) proton exchange nanocomposite membrane for high temperature |
초록 |
Nafion/sulfonated poly(phenylmethyl silsesquioxane) (PPSQ) composite membranes are fabricated using homogeneous dispersive mixing and solvent casting method for direct dimethyl ether fuel cell (DDMEFC) applications operated above 100oC. Sulfonation reactions were carried out by changing the molar ratio of chlorosulfonic acid. With the increasement of molar ratio of chlorosulfonic acid, degree of sulfonation(DS), ion exchange capacity(IEC), water uptake, and proton conductivity of composite membrane increased. Also the composite membrane showed lower fuel crossover and higher proton conductivity compared to Nafion membrane at high temperature. The Nafion/sPPSQ composite membranes have better single cell performance than Nafion 115 at temperature ranging from 100oC to 120oC. |
