제목 Hydrodynamic Flow Induced Spontaneous Micropattern of a Thin Binary Polymer Blend Film by Corona Discharge
초록 The electrohydrodynamic flow and Marangoni flow in a solution during solvent evaporation were very important factor to determine a micro/nano structure of polymeric thin films. A fabrication of ordered structures through evaporation process requires delicate method to control the solvent evaporation on a substrate. We designed a new coater using corona discharge and we called this apparatus corona discharge coater. This new method is based on a hydrodynamic flow and directional evaporation of polymer solution under gradient corona discharge. Polystyrene(PS, Mw 48,000g/mol) and poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA, Mw 48,400g/mol) were employed as nonvolatile solute. We successfully fabricated microscale 2D line patterns on gold or silicon substrate using corona discharge and we found that the size of 2D pattern was under the controlling a intensity of corona dishcarge and a concentration.
