Multifunctional organic device with the photocrosslinked PVDF-TrFE dielectric film |

Multi-functional organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) have not only electronical switching function of typical OFETs, but also additional functions. Here, we demonstrated the multi-functional OFETs which is not only a switching transistors with negligible hysteresis but also a non-volatile memory simultaneously as the operating voltage. Poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) (PVDF-TrFE) have been used as ferroelectric polymer dielectrics in OFETs. Modulation of ferroelectric property of the dielectric layer is essential to realize the stand-alone multi-functional OFETs. The ferroelectric properties of PVDF-TrFE were systematically controlled by the bis-perfluorobenzoazide (Bis-FB-N3) contents and gate bias of the device. PMOS depletion load inverters were demonstrated with a series connection of two OFETs by utilizing the simple threshold voltage control by the polarization switching of photocrosslinked PVDF-TrFE. |
