제목 Study on the influence of nano-silica on the performance of epoxy coating
초록 The influence of nano-silica particles in epoxy coating was studied in the present work. The nano-silica particles were synthesized by sol-gel method. The synthesized product was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission-scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM). The nano-silica particles were added with various fractions in epoxy coating and the corrosion behaviors of the coatings were evaluated using salt spray and Q-fog test. The corrosion performance of the coatings was investigated by employing electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) technique. It was revealed that the addition of nano-silica particles improves the corrosion resistance of epoxy coating.
