제목 Voltage-Tunable Multicolor, Sub-1.5 V, Flexible Electrochromic Devices Based on Ion Gels
초록 Electrochromic devices (ECDs), which indicate reversible color change by redox reactions upon application of electrical stimuli, have been widely employed to electronic applications including displays. In this work, two electrochromic (EC) materials, monoheptyl viologen (MHV+) and diheptyl viologen (DHV2+), were added into ion gels consisting of P(VDF-co-HFP) and [EMI][TFSI] as magenta and blue components, respectively. Both ECDs showed not only low-voltage operation but also ultralow-power consumption to maintain the colored state. Based on the distinct difference in coloration voltages of MHV+- and DHV2+-ECDs, we successfully demonstrated voltage-tunable, multicolor, flexible ECDs on plastic by incorporating EC chromophore mixtures into the gel.
