Synthesis of polythiophene/poly(styrene sulfonic acid) nanocomposite for conducting film |

Transparent conducting films of Polythiophene/poly(styrene sulfonic acid) nanocomposites were prepared by bar coating. For transparent conducting film, PT nanoparticles were synthesized via Fe3+-catalyzedoxidativepolymerization. In this study, more than 95% monomer conversion was achieved with FeCl3/H2O2oxidants in PSS as a polymeric stabilizer. PSS formed aggregates like a stabilizer of emulsion system in aqueous medium. Size and morphology of PT nanoparticles were proved by SEM. The size of PT/PSS nanocomposites was adjusted by concentration of PSS and H2O2. Transparent thin film based on PT particles was prepared on the plasma treated PET film. After coating process, transparency and photoluminescence properties were characterized by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy, respectively. Also, Electrical properties of PT films were analysed by conductivity meter, and were controlled by particle size and ratio of PSS in PT/PSS nanocomposites. |
