Stable blue phase II induced by photo-isomerization on heating process |
| 초록 |
We induced a wide temperature range blue phaseII (BPII) by using photo-isomerization in photo-responsive bent-core liquid crystalline systems. The whole temperature range of cholesteric was changed to BPII. To identify the temperature range of BPII induced by photo-isomerization, which was confirmed with polarizing optical microscopic (POM), photo-differential scanning calorimetric (photo-DSC) and selective reflection methods. And we confirmed the stability of induced BPII with POM images for 72hours. |
