Synthesis of reduced graphene oxide/vanadium pentoxide composite for aqueous Na-ion capacitor |

Reduced graphene oxide-vanadium pentoxide (RGO-V2O5) composite has been synthesized for Na-ion capacitor. The RGO-V2O5 has been prepared by a facile hydrothermal method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirms the formation of V2O5 and reduction of graphene oxide. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) image reveals that the spherical shaped V2O5 are decorated on RGO surface. The electrochemical characteristics of the RGO-V2O5 composite have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) analysis. A quasi-rectangular CV with a redox hump at around 0.61 (anodic) and 0.42 V (cathodic) is observed in the working potential of 0-0.9 V using 1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte. The RGO-V2O5 exhibits a specific capacitance of 300 F g-1 at current density of 1 Ag-1. |
