제목 Synthesis and size control of polymer capped Silicon-nanoparticles.
초록 In this study polymer capped silicon nanoparticles were prepared using poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone) (PVP) as a protection layer to minimized the surface oxidation of the surface. Midium size nanoparticles, ranging from 100 nm to 10 nm, were obtained via solution route in the presence of the polymer. Analysis based on field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) revealed that both the amount and the molecular weight of PVP considerably affected the average size of the silicon nanoparticles. The size of the nanoparticles was correlated with the molecular weight of the polymer employed during the synthesis. PVP molecules were absorbed on the surface of the silicon nanoparticle as confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR).
