Synthesis and characterization of poly(L-lactide)/(methyl methacrylate) block copolymers by ring-opening polymerization and atom transfer radical polymerization. |
초록 |
Improvements in polylactide's mechanical properties are needed to expand the range of applications for poly(L-lactide). In this study, poly(L-lactide) and poly(methyl methacrylate) was copolymerized to improve its anti-scratch. We demonstrate a diblock copolymer system based on dual living polymerization processes, the ring-opening polymerization of lactide, and the atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) of methyl methacrylate. The poly(L-lactide) block was synthesized by ring-opening polymerization of lactide using Sn(Oct)2 as catalyst. A polymerization mechanism modification was carried out by converting the active poly(L-lactide) chain end to an α-bromo carbonyl group, which was used to initiate the atom transfer radical polymerization of MMA. The obtained diblock copolymer, poly(L-lactide-co-methyl methacrylate), was characterized using GPC, FT-IR spectroscopy and NMR analysis. |
