제목 Biomimetic Synthesis of CaCO3/Polymer Hybrid Laminated Structures
초록 Nacres, known as the Mother of Pearl, have been spotlighted in recent years due to their exceptional mechanical properties, originating from the sandwiched structure consisting of 300 ~ 900 nm thick CaCO3 platelets in between 10 ~ 30 nm thick organic mortar layers. In this presentation, CaCO3/polymer hybrid nanolaminates were prepared by the sequential deposition of polymer and CaCO3 layers on the ‘seed’ CaCO3 crystalline layer. Thin polymeric multilayers, composed of (poly(allyl amine)(PAM)/poly(acrylic acid)(PAA))n, were deposited using the layer-by-layer (LbL) deposition. CaCO3 layer was then grown on the surface of ‘polymer-coated seed crystalline layers’. The CaCO3 growth behavior was systematically investigated by varying the thickness of organic layers, using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM)
