제목 | Electrochemical Synthesis of Ammonia in Ambient Condition Using Various Phase of Copper Sulfide |
초록 | Ammonia is one of the most commonly synthesized chemicals in the world. However, most ammonia is synthesized through the Harber-Bosch process which consumes 1-2% of global energy because of its high temperature and pressure condition. Electrochemical synthesis of ammonia through nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR) in ambient condition enables to lessen the energy consumption. NRR is also important in hydrogen storage because ammonia is easily liquefied by compression and it has a high hydrogen density. So that NRR facilitates the utilization of hydrogen by lessening the energy consumption and the scale of facilities. Various metal sulfides has been studied as the candidates for NRR catalyst. Among the various metal sulfides, copper sulfide is one of the most prominent candidate for NRR catalyst because of its low cost and good catalytic activity. In this work, various phases of copper sulfide were synthesized and investigated the possibility of NRR catalyst. |
