In this study, the effect of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) surface modification on the thermal properties of epoxidized sobean oil (ESO) has been investigated. ESO has been synthesized for the first time and the thermal properties of MWCNTs/ESO nanocomposites evaluated. The structure of ESO was characterized by means of FT-IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectra. The thermal stability factors, such as the initial decomposition temperature (IDT), temperature of maximum rate of degradation (Tmax), and decomposition activation energy (Et), of the MWCNTs/ESO nanocomposites were increased. |
