Synthesis of retinoic acid-loaded poly(NIPAM-co-AA) for cancer therapy |

We synthesized thermo-responsive poly(NIPAM-co-AA) composite polymers containing retinoic acid. This thermo-responsive polymer with the lower critical solution temperature (LCST) was easily polymerized with hydrophilic or hydrophobic monomers. The synthesized N-isopropylacrylamide and acrylic acid composite polymer (poly(NIPAM-co-AA)) were used for the delivery and controlled release of retinoic acid. It demonstrated that thermo-responsive polymer, poly(NIPAM-co-AA), showed 37℃ LCST in an aqueous solution. The shape and synthesis of poly(NIPAM-co-AA) was analyzed by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Therefore, this retinoic acid-loaded thermo-responsive polymer could be a potential nanocarrier for the drug delivery and cancer therapy applications. |
