제목 Effect of Nano-sized Silicas in HPDLC Based on Polyurethane Acrylate
초록 During photopolymerization the PUA-based oligomer, polymer matrix volume is reduced upon polymerization, commonly known as polymerization shrinkage. The shrinkage of polymer results in additional scattering losses.
Diffraction modes of holographic grating were fabricated with various molecular structure of polyurethane acrylates(PUA) and two silica(AEROSIL 200 and AEROSIL R805) to reduce the shrinkage of polymer matrix. The morphology of the resultant gratings was analyzed by using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and the storage moduli of PUA-silica composite films by dynamic mechanical thermal analysis(DMTA). It was founded that shrinkage of PUA composite film with silica was reduced compared with PUA film without silica, HPDLC based PUA-silica composite also showed high diffraction efficiency.
