In this study, we present an experimental investigation of the reaction rate of protease subtilisin on substrate surfaces. We used direct surface measurement techniques: Quartz Crystal Microbalance and Surface Plasmon Resonance Spectroscopy, to measure enzyme reaction on substrate surfaces. We found that the subtilisin adsorption on the substrate surface is not strong nevertheless the surface reaction rate is in accordance with the surface subtilisin concentration.
