Efficient organic electro-phosphorescent devices using a new polymeric hosst material |

Recently electro-phosphorescent devices have attracted much scientific and technological research interest to overcome the limit of fluorescence in quantum efficiency because they can generate emission from both triplet and singlet excitons. Many phosphorescent materials containing various heavy metals such as platinum, terbium or iridium have been extensively developed, and RBG phosphorescent EL devices have been achieved using the materials. To fabricate an efficient phosphorescent EL devices host material is also very important. In this study, we have synthesized an alternating copolymer composed of carbazole and tetramethyl benzene as an efficient solution processible host material for iridium based triplet emitters. We have fabricated phosphorescent organic light-emitting devices with red, green and blue triplet emissive dopants in the synthesized polymeric host. Light-emitting devices were constructed with ITO /PEDOT /polymer:Dopnat /Balq3 /Alq3 /LiF /Al configuration. The device with 5% dopping concentration of green emissive dopant in the polymeric host showed maximum luminous efficiency of 29 cd/A and power efficiency of 24 lm/W. |
