제목 A Novel Test Method Measuring the Dimensional stability of Elastomeric Materials at High Temperature
초록 Elastomeric materials are in ubiquitous use in the automotive, aerospace and electronic industries because of their unique properties. In this study, the thermal behaviors of elastomeric materials were investigated. The understanding of the entropy changes at elevated temperature, accompanied with the thermal shrinkage and expansion, is very important for the dimensional stability and capability improvement. For measuring the thermal variations, we developed a special tester. The thermal shrinkage and expansion of elongated or compressed elastomer samples were examined in the dimensional changes and the force changes. The dimensional changes were investigated by measuring the force changes as functions of time and temperature.
