Polyaniline nanorods were fabricated in multigram scale by using dispersion polymerization. Aniline monomer was added to aqueous solution with inorganic acid. Then, ammonium persulfate was introduced to aniline/inorganic acid aqueous solution for oxidization of aniline. The main advantage of this synthetic method is capable of fabricating pure, uniform, and template-free polyaniline nanorods in bulk quantities. In addition, size and morphology of polyaniline nanorods can be controlled using poly (vinyl pyrrolidone) as a dispersant. |
