제목 Characterization of composite membranes with low content of ionic liquid and acid
초록 Composite membranes consisting of ionic liquids and sulfonated polymers were prepared for high temperature fuel cells (PEFCs). Ionic liquids behave like water under anhydrous conditions in the composite membrane. The acid containing a common ion of ionic liquids was added to composite membranes to raise the proton conductivity with low content of ionic liquids. The characterization of composite membranes was carried out thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and impedance spectroscopy. Composite membranes containing acid showed higher proton conductivity than those containing no acid under the unhumidified condition due to a decrease in viscosity and thus a increase in mobility of ionic liquids. In addition, the proton conductivity of composite membranes increased with elevated mole concentration of acid.
