Particle Size Effect of Magnetite (Fe3O4) particles as Anode Materials for Lithium Ion Batteries |

In this present work we have designed a unique structure by developing small magnetite nanoparticles. It has been one of the central issues to develop new strategies to improve the cycle and rate performance of Fe3O4 based lithium-ion battery anodes. The size of the secondary structural magnetite particles can be continuously controlled from 10 to 180 nm by varying the volume ratio of ethylene and diethylene glycol in mixed two solvent system. The described method presents the synthesis of secondary structural nanomaterials with particle sizes and different electrochemical performance. It is plausible to assume that the tiny small size of Fe3O4 particles, which can lead to the retention of the characteristics of Fe3O4 during charge–discharge cycling. |
