제목 Biocompatible magnetic nanoparticles for synergic tumor therapy
초록 Magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs) have been widely used for cancer treatment. However, many limitations related to diagnostic sensitivity and treatment efficacy for clinical application remain. In this study, we fabricated optimized multifunctional magnetite nanoparticles, composed of MNPs and Biopolymer conjugated photosensitizer (BP), to attain enhanced tumor diagnosis and therapy. The fabricated BP coated MNPs(BP@MNPs) can be dissolved in water. Also, BP@MNPs raise temperature up to 43℃ and generate singlet oxygen upon magnetic field and laser irradiation. BP@MNPs can target tumors via CD44 receptor-mediated endocytosis, which has enhanced tumors therapeutic effect through photodynamic therapy/hyperthermia treatment without any drugs. We successfully detected tumors implanted in mice via magnetic resonance imaging and optical imaging. In addition, we confirmed the photodynamic therapy/hyperthermia effect of BP@MNPs against cancer.
