The adsorption properties of HF and HCl over ion exchange filter were investigated to determine the effect produced by varying condition, such as the concentration and flow rate. Also the adsorption properties of HF and HCl mixture over ion exchange filter were investigated to determine selective adsorption of ion exchange filter. In batch experiment, the adsorption equilibrium was investigated on ion exchange filter at room temperature and with different solution concentrations. To determine the adsorption rate constant of HF and HCl, continuous column tests were performed. A higher concentration and a higher flow rate gave rise to greater HF and HCl removal and HCl adsorption efficiency is higher than HF on the ion exchange filter. By confirm SEM micrographs of the ion exchange filter, the adhesion condition of the ion exchange resin and urethane foam was observed. Also, the results of the regeneration tests showed that the ion exchange filter exhibited good durability. |
