FABRICATION OF HIGHLY ORDERED TIO2 NANOTUBE THIN FILMS BY ANODIZATION |
초록 |
Titanium dioxide is one of the most widely studied chemical substances because of its wide application in catalytic, gas-sensing and corrosion-resistance materials. In this study titania nanotubes have been fabricated by electrochemical anodization process. Particularly, we investigated the oxidation process of titanium in two different electrolytic solutions. In first set of experiments self-organized TiO2 nanotubes were grown in glycerol electrolyte containing 0.27 M NH4F and 1.0 wt% H2O at room temperature under 45 V for 17 hr. Scanning electron microscopy investigations showed that average diameter and wall thickness of the obtained nanotubes were 138 nm, and 14 nm, respectively. The Second set of experiments have been performed using 0.5% wt HF aqueous solution under 20 V at room temperature for 45min. Diameter and wall thickness of the nanotubes obtained in HF based solution were 102 nm and 10 nm, respectively. In both electrolytic conditions well-ordered nanotubes of titania were obtained. Generally, topologies of the anodized titanium change remarkably along with the changing of applied voltages, electrolyte concentration and oxidation time. Therefore it is very important to study the effect of each parameter influencing the formation and growth of the nanotubes in order to obtain more regular and ordered nanotube arrays. |
