제목 Nanoscale Optical Characteristics of Metal/Organic Core-Shell Hybrid Single Nanoparticle
초록 We experimentally demonstrated the surface plasmon (SP) coupled enhanced photoluminescence (PL) from core-shell hybrid single nanoparticle (NP) consists of Ag (core) and organic materials (shell). We fabricate a core-shell NP in deionized (DI) water solution through sequentially process of reprecipitation and self-assembly method. We used a high-resolution laser confocal microscope (LCM) combined with atomic force microscope (AFM) to obtain the LCM PL spectroscopy from individual single NP together with the nanoscale topographic information. We found that PL efficiency of the hybrid nanostructures dramatically increased through the formation of core-shell hybrid NPs, indicating the excitation of SP due to the existence of Ag NPs in core-shell NP. We analyze that the PL enhancement of organic nanomaterials based-hybrid NPs might originate from energy and/or charge transfer in a SP coupling and the strong electromagnetic field near Ag NP surface.
