We demonstrate a simple route for fabricating Teflon nanospheres with high degree of order by guiding with saw-toothed patterns having various pitches and amplitudes at certain temperature. Teflon precursor solutions were spin-coated onto various substrates which have different surface energies, right after spin-coating, the films having residual solvent were annealed at 100°C by pressing with saw-toothed patterns for 1 hr to induce dewetting of the film in the confined geometry. Depending on the pitches and amplitudes of saw-toothed patterns, arrays of highly ordered nanospheres having a variety of sizes and separation distances were obtained. The Teflon nanostructured patterns can be used as hydrophobic surfaces a template for pattern transfer to various polymers. |
