제목 Vertical filler alignment via external magnetic field for thermal conductivity enhancement
초록 Anisotropic characteristic boron nitride was vertically align through heat transport direction by magnetic field. Iron oxide nanoparticle which introduced onto BN surface acts as magnetic responsible material for effective particle alignment. The paramagnetic iron oxide was polarized by magnetic field and connected each particle into vertical direction. The thermal conductivity of synthesized vertically aligned composite increased from 1.765 W/mK to 3.445 W/mK on 30 vol% of filler loading, that is 1.96 -fold higher value thane in case of randomly oriented composite. Moreover, the filler contents effect on filler dispersion shape, homogeneously dispersed fillers were aggregated and formed column like shape due to gravitation force by induced dipole interaction and these filler dispersion shape also influence to thermal transport properties. These results suggest the promising application of magnetically aligned anisotropic particle-based polymer composites in electronic packaging.
